Once one of the leading segments in the automotive world, the minivan was a force to be reckoned with in the 1990s. While the minivan has fallen behind mid-size and full-size SUVs, it’s still the optimal vehicle for hauling lots of passengers, lots of cargo, or a mix of both. The 2025 Honda Odyssey is the latest edition of an award-winning nameplate – check out everything it has to offer!

The 3.5-liter V-6 engine under the hood of the 2025 Honda Odyssey is shared with the 2025 Passport, producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 10-speed automatic, it’s one of the quickest minivans, getting up to 60 MPH from a standing start in 6.4 seconds. While minivans aren’t generally bought to break acceleration records, this is helpful for feeling safe when trying to merge with a cabin full of kids. The Odyssey is versatile as well, capable of towing up to 4,500 pounds, and achieves a fuel economy of 19 MPG city and 28 MPG highway.

Like many minivans, the exterior of the 2025 Honda Odyssey has the familiar bulky form, although the sheet metal is used to add a hint of sleekness. The low step-in and load-in height is one of the hallmarks of the minivan, setting the segment apart from other people-movers. The Odyssey sits on 18- or 19-inch wheels, depending on the trim, and a power tailgate is standard across the line-up.

Similarly, like many minivans, the interior is cavernous and flexible. There’s seating for up to 8 passengers in all trims, and the One-Motion 3rd-Row Magic Seat and Magic Slide 2nd-Row seats make it incredibly versatile. Every seat has 38 inches or more of headroom, while both the middle and front row come with nearly 41 inches of legroom. Even with all the seats in place, there’s 32.8 cubic feet of cargo space, plenty for grocery runs and running to and from little leagues. With the second row stowed it opens to 86.6 cubic feet, while with the second and third row stored it tops out at 140.7 cubic feet, big enough to haul pretty much anything needed around the house.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration is standard across the Odyssey line-up, with a 9-inch color touchscreen display on the dash. Bluetooth HandsFree and Streaming Audio are standard, along with SiriusXM satellite radio capabilities, with sound going through the standard 7-speaker audio system. An audio interface USB port and three USB-C charging ports are standard, along with wireless charging – up to 3 third row charging ports are available. Other features include the CabinTalk In-Car PA System, a rear entertainment screen, a satellite-linked navigation system and the CabinWatch Rear Seat Monitor.

The Honda Sensing Driver Assistance Suite is standard across the 2025 Honda Odyssey line-up, with a raft of features including forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, road departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and a rearview camera. The Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Monitor is standard on every Odyssey, as is a Driver Attention Monitor. Front and rear parking sensors on the top two trims make parking easier.

With the elimination of the entry-level EX trim, there are four trim levels available on the 2025 Honda Odyssey.

The base EX-L trim sits on 18-inch silver alloy wheels and includes all of the standard features mentioned above. Heated leather seats are standard in the front to keep the driver and front-seat passenger warm, and both are power-adjustable. Tri-zone automatic climate control provides comfort throughout the cabin. 

Sport-L trims are essentially just the EX-L with a blackout package. The wheels are upgraded to 19-inch gloss black alloys, and gloss black trim is used across the exterior. Inside. It gets a pair of USB-C charging ports for the third row, and red ambient interior lighting.

Sitting on 19-inch silver alloy wheels, the Touring trim sees major steps up. For cabin management, CabinWatch is standard while the Advanced Rear Entertainment System will keep passengers occupied. A third USB-C charging port is added to the third row, while CabinTalk can be used to speak with rear-seat passengers when they’re wearing headphones.

At the top of the trim levels, the Elite trim features 19-inch machine-finished alloy wheels outside. The power tailgate gets hands-free access for ease of loading and unloading. A 500-watt Premium Audio System pumps sound through 11 speakers, with CabinTalk running through speakers as well as headphones at this level. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is heated at this level, while the front seats get ventilation added.
