Delaney Chevrolet opened its doors at its present location on July 19, 1971, but a Chevrolet Dealership has been in business here since 1928, when it was Edwards Motors. That store was purchased by Ernie Stafford, and in 1963 Jack Delaney became a salesman for Stafford Chevrolet.

In January of 1971, Jack began to manage Stafford Chevrolet while financing was arranged. With the help of Motors Holding, a division of GM, the business opened its doors as Delaney Chevrolet, with five employees!

Motors Holding was paid off in eighteen months, and the store has grown from there. The Honda Franchise was added in February of 1980, and the Buick Franchise in March of 1987. Delaney Chevrolet – Buick – Honda currently employees sixty-three people throughout the Dealership.
